On Friday, May 12, 2017, our exceptional 2nd Grade Teacher, Mrs. Theresa Vazquez, and her Magnet class presented Humphreys 1st Annual Film Festival. Students and parents entered through our red carpet and took pictures in our movie photo booth. The show kicked off with a performance from our very own, Jocelyn Flores, singing “Try Everything” from the movie Zootopia. Students received awards in different categories such as Best Comedy, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects, Best Dramatic Picture, Best Cinematography, and Most Inspiring. As they received their awards students presented their creative films showcasing their talents.
Thank you Mrs. Vazquez, Room 9 Magnet students, Jocelyn Flores, Mrs. Noble, Ms. Kyle, Mrs. C. Hernandez, Mrs. Jorge, Mrs. Tabullo, Mr. J. Hernandez, 5th Grade Student Council, Ms. V. Rivas, Mr. D. Aceves, Mrs. Gardea, Mrs. Gonzalez, Mr. J. Vazquez, Ms. L. Robles, Mr. Quintanar, and all the parents in attendance. This was a great example of how we work together to give students opportunities to show their creativity and explore career choices as we foster 21st Century Learning (Creativity, Collaboration, Communication and Critical Thinking).
